A lot is happening on the poetry front this week.

First off, Gordon Purkis, editor of Mastodon Dentist republished some older issues, lost somehow on the WWW, including #7 in which my poem “Starting Over” appears.  (scroll down)  This poem is from Better With Friends, still available by contacting me.

The Winter issue of Burnt Bridge that includes my poem, “In an Earlier Time,” came out this week.  It’s a print issue, so I haven’t actually seen it yet, and you’ll have to buy a copy, if you want to read it.

Jane Crown published two issues of Heavy Bear.   Issue #7 contains five of my poems.

This weekend is Poetry Weekend at Barnhill’s.  I’ll be there at 1 pm on Sunday.  But the whole weekend is filled with talented poets.

And to top it all off, my new book Seriously Dangerous is now ready for advance order at Main Street Rag.  See my Author’s Page and please order a copy.

Merton’s Voice: …the beauty of mental prayer and of mystical contemplation is in the soul’s abandonment and total surrender of itself in an outburst of praise in which it spends itself entirely to bear witness to the transcendent goodness of the infinite God. The rest is silence.
