My heart leaps up when I behold

A rainbow in the sky:

So was it when my life began;

So is it now I am a man:

So be it when I shall grow old,

Or let me die!

The child is father of the man;

And I could wish my days to be

Bound each to each by natural piety.

Poetry Super Highway has chosen me as one of two poets of the week for the week of May 22-28.  The site features two new poems.  "A Memory of Joplin" is forthcoming in Paper Snowflakes, published by Southern Hum Press later this year.  "Rookie at the Barre" is forthcoming in June as #586 in the POEMS-FOR-ALL series from 24th Street Irregular Press.  Many thanks to Rick Lupert for this opportunity to showcase my poetry.
