Please pray for Senator Edward Kennedy, Democrat from Massachusetts, who has been diagnosed with brain cancer. Praying for Kennedy has nothing to do with who you will vote for as our next president.
All three presidential candidates – Obama, Clinton, and McCain – have expressed their respect for the work of Kennedy, who became a senator at the age of 30 and has worked on most major legislation since that time.

I was saddened at the report of Senator Kennedy’s brain tumor. The first question that ran through my mind, was how much calamity can one family take?! This tumor sounds quite serious unless a miracle from heaven is received. Prayer is the only thing we can do.

There is no way our feelings of compassion, and our prayerfulness, should have any taint of partisanship. I have prayed for Senator Kennedy, and for his family. Sadly, the doctor’s reports and prognosis seem less than positive.

I agree 100%, Shirley. Politics have no place in our compassion.
